Leadership in Action
"Joining the RAF Air Cadets has allowed me to have some amazing opportunities ranging from flying solo in a glider to fieldcraft exercises in the Brecon Beacons. The experiences taught me many valuable things and have allowed me to make some once in a lifetime memories with some extraordinary people."
"I have also been taught many skills that were developed through my cadet career and allowed me to progress greatly both in the corps and in other areas of life. These skills and experiences greatly aided me in my application to become an officer within the Royal Air Force and will always be grateful to 485 Squadron for giving me these opportunities."
Cadet Warrant Officer Jayhanie

"Through the Air Cadets, I believe my confidence has increased significantly. This is due to our leadership exercises and development sessions. They have helped me speak up and share my own ideas, increasing the chances of a successful outcome."
"I am now able to plan and lead activities, including SMEAC briefs and drill for the entire squadron. The skills I have gained have benefitted me not only within cadets, but also in civilian life."
